FA at Stanage
October 17, 2008, 04:45:39 pm
Not a mega classic but historically significant, my son Hugo aged 13 months and a bit managed to climb onto a rock weighing in at at least 80cm.
I did have to punter him however for using his knees. Roll on Font next May!

My 14 month old daughter made it up the stairs the other day but I dismissed the ascent as she used the arete on the side of the stair post....

You wanna lock their bicycles up in the garage. Once the fuckers start cycling, the big numbers go down.
(undermining the news forum rather?)

Having romped up the easy angled slab, Sharpe Jr scared the crap out of his mum by attempting the holdless wall to his left shortly after this photo was taken. She deemed the landing unsuitable and picked him up.

At Work Jnr crushing at Almscliff, far more successfully than his father managed.
He developed a reasonable circuit of about 10 problems in the Morrells Wall area, we could produce a mini-guide if people are interested?

It should be pointed out that Sharpe Jr already uses his fathers training facility and has developed a solid tucked front lever already. I have posted this just in case there is anyone out there who doubts that the youngster has the power and strength to get up the problems he is claiming.

Here one of Farnell Jr showing rather better footwork (in a pair of croc's) than Farnell Snr, at the local park :

Sloper. I'm afraid if this is what I think it is, Jeremy Largeman's eldest, Little 'Un Largeman, has already done it. V7 he gave it.
He would have written it up in the Hathersage new routes book, so as to avoid a downgrading counterclaiming debacle causing much embarrassment to both parties. But he's only one himself, so he couldn't.

Grovel onto the ledge approx 80cm off the ground. Knees allowed.
FA L.U. Largeman 12/10/08
Not sure if he's got any photographic evidence though and it's a big claim......

dont have any proof but all lines 80cm high at stanage were worked out years ago by one of the next generation fatdoc offspring. attention is now been draw to the soaring heights of 1.5m lines that abound the popular end by my 4 year daughter, exact locations will only be given once the big lines have gone down. There will be her 6 year old brother on videocamera to reduce dissent.
Lantern sessions are now formally banned en maison fatdoc, as it's past their bedtime.
