Tenerife Christmas - New Year
October 01, 2013, 09:34:48 pm
Currently two confirmed and we would like at least a couple more to make sharing an apartment cost-effective. PM me if interested.

This is what I was doing on the 23rd December 2012.

(Ankilator - Lower Arico Gorge)

Tenerife climbing is decent. Some areas are a bit scruffy but the volcanic rock is interesting and varied to climb on and the scenery is great up on Tiede, the volcano in the centre of the island.  It's mostly single-pitch sport in the 6s and 7s with a few harder routes up to 8c+ and there is some some bouldering too. I am reliably informed that the kite-surfing and cycling is excellent.

What you are really hear here for is the weather. The definitive answer to the 'where to climb that is warm and sunny at Christmas?' question that doesn't involve an £900 flight.
