Sorry, read my reply and thought about your question, and the answer is; Yes it does, it's their home page, their shop window on the world. It's a commercial site, driven by advertising. They need to get it right and for me at least it does not work.

I bet it doesn't to the vast majority of UKB users. In general website terms I think it looks utter toss. All they need to add is a scrolling banner and it'd be the perfect combinations of flashing, twirling, blinking etc.

I'm not that keen but I bet it will get them a higher hit rate, someone stumbling upon the page looking for climbing information or with a vague interest in climbing is more likely to be drawn in by the massive pictures and the Vegas style 'click here' arrows and lights.  It's flashy, and not particularly tasteful, but I would say it's probably fit for it's purpose.
