G-phones

I kinda want one! It will be interesting to see how the available apps develop in comparision to the iPhone. It's likely that the iPhone will have the edge on design but I suspect that the Gphone will overtake it on usefulness and cost. Especially if they use advertising to reduce the cost of monthly contracts.

You might alreaedy have one since android is simply an operating system and set of applications that are aiming to be neutral of the phone on which they run as opposed to having a specific OS from your phones manufacturer (e.g. Nokia's OS is Symbian).  All you need to do is make sure you've got a "smart-phone" and contract that gives you net access and you should be able to use android when its finally released for your phones OS (although installing it will no doubt void the warranty your contract provides, so it will be interesting to see how this pans out, will phone manufacturers adopt android, will mobile providers opt to install it in favour of the manufacturers OS?).
