nice work bonjoy! looks sweet, and for me the best yet! (though I liked the spotter one too!)

though maybe.. take the ukb off the image, (maybe put it on the sleeve?), ever so slightly reposition the tagline (which is awesome by the way) and change the typeface..

then I'd buy it for sure.. which is high praise!!

sorry if this sounds a bit picky, but I'm a design slut / junky!

lee has a small head in relation to his body. any he has a penchant for danny's problem at stanage. or at least he did before he did it.

Does the fact that the joke needs explaining to several members of UKB not suggest that this design is uber-cliquey?

Yer damn right
Who want's a t-shirt with something obvious on it?

I'd rather have a t-shirt with "lick my ape" or "sun roast face-clam", rather than "I like talking about bouldering". But that's just me.

Hmmmmm.....

OK, I see your point, and agree with it.

But.....

It's just a joke for the "we know dense has a small head and likes Dannys" brigade on this site. Very much non-inclusive (a criticism that has been leveled at other designs).

If it really was an obscure or meaningless statement then fine. We could all agree on it and be in on the joke. As it is it's a private joke amongst a small, but powerfull, group on this forum.

My suggestion?

A photo of Konnie Huq with a fishes head. The tagline could be "Ham shoes on the NHS".

And to be fair "Anyone For Dannys?" is hardly the Da Vinci Code of obscure climbing references is it?

P.S. I'm not being critical of the design itself, or even the idea. I'll probably buy the t-shirt whatever the final design picked is, as it is about supporting the site rather than looking cool (something I am woefully poor at anyway..). Just pointing out the non-inclusive nature of the design amongst our own readership, nevermind the wider audience.

A transcript of Dense's problem on Nigel's board gets my vote. Nigel, do you happen to have that to hand? It amused me for weeks.

Yeah, I basically can't see myself wearing any t-shirt with a non-central design.

Nik, the t-shirt is a ref to probably Bonjoy's all time no.2 animated gif. (no.1 being Si O' obviously), not just something we joke about in the pub.

Yeah, but all the old GIFs seem to have disappeared.  Were they in the UKB image gallery?
Can you re-link it BonJoy for those that haven't seen it?

How about the image central with UKB on the breast pocket and then either "anyone for danny's..?" on the sleeve or the back?

Jim, what are you on about "breast pocket"? Somewhere for your money clip perhaps? Shall we make it a v-neck so you can rock a cravat as well? How about somewhere for your pipe and pocket watch. Jesus.

I would love to see a T-shirt with elbow patches. just to see how the sheer mechanics of it would work.

I got the ref, and remember the gif. Although I didn't know denses head was small so it was a bit lost on me. In fact I don't even know dense (or maybe I do and just don't know his interweb personna, I get confused). Anyway the point I was making is that the joke is lost on some members of the forum, and as such is quite cliquey. OK the clique consists of the majority of the very regular posters on this forum, but not all.

Again I'm not criticising the design, and I'll buy whatever t-shirt design is chosen.

How about the Si'O gif as some kind of holograph animation, with the text as "I saw Si climb" in some made up pseudo Scottish dialect (with elbow patches for Dave). Now that would be worth serious money...

Still agree with the Earl of Esoterica.

The fact that a lot of the members know each other in the tactile world is often what makes this forum so entertaining.

Whatever the final refinement of this concept may be, I'll take one. And the hoody, wallet, key fob, mousemat, doormat counterparts.

"Anyone for Conviction.....?" would surely work just as well? ;)

Most important question being, can we get the crucial little finger twitching animation on a t-shirt? Maybe a small patch of that funny reflective stuff that changes when you look at it from different angles...
