Well done that man. Thought he had been a bit quiet.

Next step is getting a film made of it, and then creating a "comic" band in collaboaration with a slightly wayward musician.

This time next year Rodney we'll be millionaires.

Yes although I thought this....

Was enough warning!

Strangely fascinating though.

Apart from Shaun of the Dead, I've never found a Zombie story of any interest (I am Legend started out ok, but...).

Well written and thought provoking.

With more than a hint of stomach churn...

That's just the free online version. There are loads of others that look interesting too:

Bit of an obvious one, but have you read the Walking Dead comics? Tres good.

have you seen Braindead? not a comic, but it should be

what about Zombo in 2000AD - I got quite into the story where they introduced Obmoz (anti-zombo)

admittedly, these are interesting by virtue of the ridiculous/amusing  quotes that occur with reasonable frequency, but they do involve zombies

as does the film Zombie Strippers - has this been done as a graphic novel? if not, why not

2000AD! Now there's a blast from the past...
And didn't the year 2000 seem so far away?

Must have stopped reading it before then, though, with hind sight "Strontium Dog" was almost a Zombie story line.

My wife gets me an ongoing subscription to 2000AD  :2thumbsup:

I haven't opened one since I bust my ankle (28th January). I have learned that it is a waste of good art to read them when I'm not feeling good.

I'm close to planning some good personal comic time to catch up with Tharg's offerings. Question is - how many per session? I know that when re-reading them, 8 or more is fine; but for new material I'm not sure that more than 3 at a sitting is thrill-efficient.

Hilarious film, just as good from Peter Jackson was his first film Bad Taste

and wasn't Rogue Trooper somehow resurected from being dead (might be wrong)? his weapons with the conciousness of his dead mates as operating systems were certainly a bit zombieish

No he was the only survivor of the Quartz Zone Massacre - wiki link but there was more than one incarnation of his character.

Anyone read Gaiman's Marvel 1602? I thought it was amazing.

As an avid comic fan in my youth (I once wrote to Jim'll Fix It to ask to meet Stan Lee) and my teens I've missed not reading them.  Today I discovered one of many comic book readers available for the iPad and downloaded this.  It's fantastic.

Having rediscovered the Graphic novel...

I seem to be indulging in a mild obsessive spell.

A total different style, closer to "Steamer" Sci-fi, good humour.

Possibly too light hearted for some (I like a little relief, occasionally).

Started in '02, I've made it to end '07 so far, still running today...

Slow start, gets better quickly.

slightly off topic in that I haven't actually read them yet....

As I mentioned before, I haven't opened any of my new 2000ADs since I bust my ankle in January - I don't like to waste Thrill Power on a sub-optimal mind state

I felt ready enough to get them out and look at them today

tomorrow, when the kids are in bed,  I intend to read 3 or 4 of the last doses I consumed (including the bumper xmas/newyear mag) just to make sure I'm in the zone and up to date

then I've got these...
