It says 10,143.

I'm sure I'd done more than that, but it's ages since I chased numbers on it and my memory is shit, so there you go!

I have found a new exercise for boasting pinch strength with the powerball, instead of using the standard grips try gripping the powerball as a pinch i.e all finger tips on the black band. Really activates the fingers and the thumb more like a climbing grip, I have been doing 30sec strength workout as follows

warm up - normal grip
RH pinch - 30s anticlockwise (away from body)
LH pinch- 30s clockwise (away from body)
RH pinch - 30s clockwise (towards body)
LH pinch - 30s anticlockwise (towards body)
RH normal - 30s anticlockwise (away from body)
LH normal- 30s clockwise (away from body)
RH normal - 30s clockwise (towards body)
LH normal - 30s anticlockwise (towards body)

rest 2-5 mins

Repeat

Sorry to dredge up an ancient thread... but I've managed to get two wrist injuries a few weeks ago, one's a sprained wrist and I was wondering if powerballs are good to help them heal or I should just rest it until it stops hurting completely? Any masters of this sort of powerful knowledge? Cheers!

Using my non-expert knowledge of such things I would say rest it. Using a powerball is unlikely to make things better and using one is anger will probably make things worse.

I agree, you're more likely to make it worse when you get competitive and try and beat your score.

Must get 6th place on the board. Sadly not gonna happen at mo as powerball has knackered my thumb. To be fair, it's just re-inforced what i already knew - i don't use my thumbs enough for climbing (edging rather than pinching, and i certainly don't use my thumbs on edges) so they're weaker than the rest of my hand. Seems to be healing slow, but ok. Should be a good thing in the long run! Lesson learnt!

mwahaha, it only took about 3 years (just picked it up again recently)

Has Scouse paid you to bump this thread monolith? A bit suspect that he's had a bad leg injury and can't walk, suddenly the guy who smashed all powerball records is back in the game where he belongs  :-\

Reckon Scouse's forearm will be getting enough exercise at the minute without the powerball.

I think it was more of a nostalgic yearning upon finding said device. Would love to see what Richie Crouch could get now given that his climbing grade is about 50 higher. Any correlation in Powerball performance? :-\

My life has been given renewed purpose. Tomorrow I'm gonna be all over this (once my wanker's cramp has eased off).
