Well that's a relief, I wasn't being thick.

Anyway, I was going to post that Sharma thing, but I've probably built it up too much now.

You could, if bothered, rehost it but then link back to the Instagram page when embedding it.

Right...

So what with all the changes and the demise of Tapatalk (and it’s easy hosting and embedding process), I have revived my flickr account.

However, despite trying a variety of browsers and apps, lifting the bbc code is proving impossible.

It can only be obtained through a browser, apps only allow copying the link. However (again) it’s proving impossible to actually copy/paste the code (I can nly ever select one word at a time and not the whole code) so it’s a case of writing it down a manually entering.

This is an iPad querk for sure. Anyone have a alternative suggestion?

I too have struggled.

I used to like the Tapatalk way of posting pictures.

My solution is to give up I’m afraid.

I can’t tell if that was a joke or not...

Either way, that’s a blank frame.

Yeah, that was the result of my unsuccessful test! Post above modified now.

Hi folks.

I know a few people have been having problems uploading photos to posts from Flickr.

Current best way (Android phone) seems to be as follows.

From your own Flickr page, click on the drop down menu - either next to "Flickr" or "You".

Select "Camera roll". This gives access to thumbnails of all your photos (most of the time!), but not embedded in a Flickr page.

Click/press on the thumbnail of the image you want to upload. This opens the image.

Click/press on the image to get the option to "view image in new tab". Select this option. The code in the address bar should be the code you want to copy and paste between the two parts of the embed photo icon.

Hope that helps.

Has anyone been able to gain a grasp of the photo uploading malarky? I saw this posted a few years ago from cheque, and I have a been able to use    imgbb.com  which looks like it should work ok, but after uploading a photo onto it, the links don't seem to work on here for some reason.

Did the flickr route work better in the end for folks?

Thanks

After you upload a picture to imgbb it will give you a page that says “Upload complete” and “Embed codes” under the picture. Change the option in the dropdown menu to say “BBCode thumbnail linked” and copy- paste the text it gives you into the UKB post.

Thanks Cheque, I did as you said but the image became oversized and pixilated, so tried the BBcode full option and it seems to work better with a smaller image size uploaded on the page.

Cheers, Si
