Hi guys, I made this film with Huffy recently and it's going online tomorrow so thought I'd share an audio outtake from it. Be interested to see how it goes down. Took me ages to edit so even training went on the back burner.

We were back up at Sheigra this summer. Amazing time, and some great new problems.

We also dropped in a Droman pier (just one bay south) which was a lot of fun.

Cheers guys. My first time back in Font for quite a few years. It was a try hard, rather than try everything trip. Glad I finally got up Salathe, the power fade was quite frustrating!

Rob, I enjoyed yours too, by the way. Sheigra has long been on my list of hopefully someday venues!

yet another Conan video

was up there with Big Ed a couple of weeks ago and it turned out that he had never done it - just the right grade for him and good friction and clean rock made the magic happen

quite a lot of dirt trapped in the camera lens, so I resorted to a bit of colour dicking to make the smudges less offensive

check out the fat bloke's spotting skills

Finally got round to sorting the vid of a couple of new problems in the low 7's on a boulder in one of the quarries near Llangattock in South Wales.

Warning: contains grunting, flailing and dodgy technique.

I had slightly different beta when I did the 2nd ascent of The Lonely Traverse. Duma, you should definitely visit, it’s a wonderful spot. I’d be happy to tag along, I think Ben D is keen too.
Also, Ollie and I moved that great big block out the way so the landing is a little better.

This is on the Vimeo page but I thought it was worth highlighting here: Dolph on a first ascent rampage across Cheshire throughout this year. He's shared rough footage of individual problems from time to time and I was able to tip him off to a couple of projects. As an ex-Cheshire devotee its been exciting to see this new wave of development, leaving the area with some of its best and hardest problems - Back Woods Beauty Queen, in particular, is a bit of a king line. Small correction, the first two problems are at Stanner Nab, not Manley Knoll.

https://vimeo.com/groups/ukb/videos/235418406

ps. there are access issues at Manley Knoll, which is in the grounds of the house of the same name. In theory, permission should be sought from the house first.

Nice one. That foot looks dreadful though.  Shame you didn't have the drone with you to show that peninsula.

Yeah, I only have one battery for my drone at the moment...

Thanks. We had two pads over an old stashed gym mat, the gym mat had wet leaves all over it and I went between two pads and ankle went forward toes went back. Lufthansa lost one of our pads......... where there is a blame there is a claim

Enjoyed both Dan, think the colours came out better on vimeo? might just be me though.

Whats Vastervik like in the 6's? worth a trip? I'm guessing you're not going to recommend Lufthansa, but did you drive from Stockholm or can you fly anywhere closer?

Thanks, yeah did a bit more colour correcting for the vimeo vid.

Lufthansa is fine, they just missed a connection flight, which meant they had to say over in frankfurt for the night, then one bag didn't turn up, guess thats easily done.

I was actually in Gothenburg for work, so we drove from there, if I was going again I would defo fly to Stockholm. Maybe climbing in the city and Uppsala on the way up. AirBnB are actually pretty cheap (probably the cheapest things relatively speaking).

Regarding 6's not too sure, to be honest we just went to try certain things as we only had four days. There is a decent guide book. Vastervik has a very UK (or even Yorkshire) feel, in that the each area doesn't have a lot of boulders, just lots of areas about 5-10mins drive form each other.

David Mason (monkeyboy) maybe able to give you more advice, he been a few times.
