Not to be controversial or anything, but does'nt everyone climb 8b+/8c every day in RMNP?  Seems to be the current trend. Think I'm heading over there with Dense in Feb - their either mutants or...
I'll take 8c+ for anything.

it'll be too cold i reckon in feb chris, more of a summer venue so i'm told. Regarding the grades remember Ty has done Dreamtime and 8b's in britain and he reckons Jade is the real deal. I'd love to see some british beasts go over to Hueco or Colorado, i reckon they would bring home some big numbers.

I'd like to see some american beasts come over here and tell us whether or not our grades are completely out of sync with places like hueco etc.

i don't think theres anyone good enough anywhere to do the top 3 gaskins problems. Plus if there were i'd doubt they'd have the motivation to do them. Il pirata isn't exactly the green 45 is it (quality wise!) And thats coming from a fan of the great Jonathan!

I do have to agree with that they aren't the most inspiring lines but they are inspiring grades as they are probably the hardest probs in the world

good to see cowboyhat lurking even if it does require provoking to get him to post

the park climbing is basic n conditions r very consistent, also boulder is full of beastly climbers, hence y alot of people climb hard there. grades r not too soft

That Ninguna is a shit-hot repeating machine...

Must be an old list, Dreamtime still at 8c, Li'O'Conaelich given any credibility. Doesn't seem to be full of piss-easy stamina fests tho...

I'll blame the february plan on Dense - he reckoned this was a good plan.  No offence met to the wads over there - it just interests me, that sort of thing.  Does sound like one helluva play ground.  When is good?

there do appear to be a shit-load of 8C boulders...

I did a quick google for 8C+ boulders a while ago and was surprised to discover that actually quite a few have been claimed. Don't think any except Tonino '78 have been repeated yet.

On the grade front, I can't comment on the harder grades but I would suggest that in the low end of the market the grades at Hueco and colorado are perhaps 1.5/2 grades harder than the grades in the peak and 1 grade harder than in yorkshire.
Well it was HVS in my day!

Right.. I'm obviously being thick but which way does that go
peak V4 (6b/+-arguments about the V/font conversion aside) = yorkshire V5 = RMNP V6
or the other way round....

also will you need a visit to draculas castle for a vampire bite before you go as it appears you can only climb at night in rmnp.
