Wall mounted interval timer

Has anyone got any recommendations for an inexpensive one of these. Looking on amazon they are surprisingly expensive for what appears to be 1980's tech

I use "custom interval timer" free app from the android app thingy, as the name suggests it is a good simple customisable timer (and free)

I would have thought some sort of wall mount for a phone too.

Having said that, when I was doing high volume weighted box step-ups for alpine training a la Steve House, I eventually bought a mechanical click counter for a fiver and found it far superior to using the phone.

An old tablet running Complex Timer / Impetus / A N Other App?

Or if you've got a laptop/desktop/raspi and an old monitor that would work too.

Come to think of it I'd be amazed if someone hasn't done it with a pi already. Don't you work in IT  ;D ?

swimming pool pace clocks seem similarly overpriced for even older tech

Pace clocks and similar often have stupidly high specs, i.e msec accuracy timing and holding this stability over many minutes.

This usually requires some fairly fancy electronics and/or a stable external timing source (GPS). Not cheap, even today.

If you know a little Python it would easy to do this with a raspberry pi and a 7" touchscreen. The hardware would probably still cost 100 quid though!
