Climbing in the Algarve

Off there for two weeks (staying in Budens) and wondering if it's worth taking my shoes. Any DWS or lowballs above good landings to be sniffed out?

maybe? I remember very very loose rock (kitty litter basically). Was there for a family vacation in 1993, so I'm clearly in a good position to comment.

About 10 min from budens to the dws. How did that happen on a family holiday???

Was there early september. Had to get up at 6 to do anything as was 100 degrees by 9am.

I'll bring you some info round. Jugs above a fairly calm sea, 30 degrees overhanging: dws heaven.

There is some granite bouldering in the hills above lisbon and I did quite a bit of bouldering near albuferia about 10 years ago but I couldn't find it this time round. Udini and Klem did some stuff too if its still on his website.

Don't let the rumours of bad rock put you off- just get yourself prepped for this French 6b+...

Golly! Psyched for that. To be honest, I'd be wary about going to the top of that since I'll probably be on my own, but if the exits are easy then it looks fun even to go up a bit and jump off!
