Car Hire - Anyone used Turo?
June 15, 2017, 01:39:19 pm
Heading to the USA later this year and currently looking at car hire. I don't think buying is a realistic option (no address to use), so looks like hiring will be the way to go.

Found a company called Turo - https://turo.com/ which looks like an AirBnb type business for car hire.

Anyone used them and got any opinions one way or the other? Significantly cheaper then traditional hire places, I know the cars will be older but can't really see that bothering us.

Easy fix is to rent a PO box. I'm told truckers use this option a lot.

Or ask around to see if anyone knows anyone with an address you can use. No proof required IIRC.

Not user that site, but looks like a good idea provided things like repair are covered.
