The Moors List
August 31, 2016, 11:15:41 am
Dave Warburton has put in quite a bit of effort producing a version of the Gritlist for the North York Moors.

It has routes from E3 - H10, as well as a stack of unclimbed lines.

Hopefully this will act as a bit of a motivation for people to give them a whirl.

Impressive list, Franco and Dave. Now all you need to do is get together with the CMC and produce a beautiful new definitive guidebook  :jab:

Inspiring stuff.

Why not record the first ascensionists?

Highcliffe looks cool.

The scoop project looks insane, anyone got a picture of the flake project.

Good effort with the list.

Ingham, redhead, Martin Parker. .

Could be a good idea sub E7 like. What's remarkable about the moors is that so many fantastic climbers climbed there, but then left before they did anything as hard as they would go on to do. It's almost as if they didn't see the moors as the centre of the universe...

one of my favourite stories is the one with Redhead and Shorter driving over from Hull, on the way to make to the first ascent of Stratagem on Ravesncar, stuck in traffic screaming at people to get out of the way as they were about to make history (please correct if anyone's got the guide to hand)
