I spoke to Rob Dyer last week and he was sure that there was mo objection from Natural England on SSSI grounds. So it's a question of educating/ winning over local objectors.

There was no way I could make that BMC meeting unfortunately.
What was the outcome of those deliberations?

It was just a case of expanding on the above information. No problem with SSSI status, not mo obvs.

Winning over the parish council is not likely to happen overnight. A track record of responsible access is always the most powerful argument. So keep going and be polite if confronted.

This sign was up at the main gate on the A57 today, not sure if this is a recent development. I had no issues whilst I was there, and only saw one dog walker all day.
