And since she's never on here anymore, here's red_rhodesha's 959 (with Chloe trying it for size...)

Sweet jebus!!!

That's a strong bike for a lady. Or for a man, for that matter.

Brilliant!!! Glad you're enjoying the beast!!!
For my part, it seems that we're getting quite close to seeing the bike finished. Yesterday I received the new headlamp, smaller and less thick, and the front mudguard should be almost done.
Unluckily the seat unit is still far from being finished, it's received only the base paint...

I'll see the mechanic tomorrow, will take some pics.

Loving it, there's some great roads in striking distance of work. Went to Avebury for lunch today with a couple of mates, Yamaha R1 and  Ducati Monster 1200R, the triple was def not the beast in that company...
No fun on the way home though, 20 mph gusty headwind makes the motorway hard work and pretty stressful.
Look fwd to seeing the pics lore, reckon the slimmed down tail unit will look great.

Latest news, side panels and bottom cover are mounted! The line is now clean and tidy with everything hidden underneath.

Cheers guys, I'm glad you like it! The new headlamp really  does  the trick. It's a bit smaller and less thick,  so it sits lower and  closer to the frame. Gives really a nice side wiew also! More aggressive But also more balanced overall.
More to come!

Lost my track virginity yesterday. Those little bikes are a big big fun! Dragged knees for an entire afternoon!

Disappointing setback on the bike side. Took the new seat unit to a friend's body shop to be painted, and after almost six weeks (!) I he gave it back to me painted in a darker shade of grey (you see what I did there) and asymmetric, bended lines. All for a lot of money. And he had the old one to compare!
He obviously offered to repaint it, but I'm a bit pissed with him and don't want to give it back to him, also I don't want to wait anymore.
So for the moment I'll use it like that, after mounting the seat rubber maybe a little cosmetic adjustment will do the trick.

There you go, turn signals mounted on the radiator side, via a custom made aluminium plate. Also, painted the lower triple clamp to match the top plate.

Nearly there. Quite excited to be honest.
On a side note, a few days ago rode into a storm with my two stroke. Nasty experience. High beams were useless, I got to follow a truck and its rear lights. Heavy heavy rain and then hail. Fucking hail!!!
Did everything I could to avoid touching the brakes and twisted the throttle as delicately as I could. Made it back home completely soaked but safe. Changed into my suit, went to work, got washed out again by a rain bomb.

Like that Nibs, very neat.
Mine's pretty much done now, very happy with the new mirrors, both better looking and much more effective. Taking the pillion pegs off tonight now the blanking plates have arrived, that'll be it I reckon.

Wiltshire was pretty fine today:

Ahahahahah! Yes, sure! I wouldn't be so sure about it!

Very fine. Very envious. I was stuck in fucking boiling, traffic jammed, stinky Florence.

Went green laning for the first time after work yesterday... some nice steady sections like in the pic, then some steep and heavily rutted technical sections. Foot down a couple of times but no 'offs'  [emoji39][emoji106]

I can't really understand why a man should possibly want to get rid of this magnificence.
I wonder which sort of other magnificences he doesn't want to sell.
The mind boggles.

P.s. I'd like to meet him when I'm over for the TT!

On a side note, my bike seems to be ready!
Hopefully I'll collect her from the mechanic's in a few days. Well, hopefully tomorrow.
Can't wait.
In the meantime, I've planned a nice tour for next week, 390 kms of turns in the Appennines.

Pics when you collect her please!

That route looks ace - weirdly I'm pretty sure I've ridden a bit of it south of Firenze  a couple of years ago on a vespa tour thing
