I have a bottle of this on the desk at work. Seems to do the job and considerably fewer fuck alls than the Lizze 'Ard Up stuff. Isn't it just a powerful moisturiser that you're looking for? If you believe Goldacre its all the same shit anyway.

I like Kelvins trial - great idea :) Anyway, ordered a tube of the red lid stuff (£10)...

See what it does...

the EA 8hr original is the one you want

the "hand cream" version is more of a sloppy lotion

I'd be intrigued to know how he avoided rubbing it in with the other hand.

If you've got the one in that link, that's the one.

*update

So ordered a couple of tubes for £20 from strawberry.net, the link above. Had to pick them up from Parcelforce today as I'd been away and got stung with with VAT and the £8 Parcelforce charge that's non-negotiable. Over £11... so all in, just over £15 a tube. They came from Fuji apparently. I did ask around before ordering, some of my girl mates, who all gave glowing reports about the site. There are lots of threads on the interweb about them saying they sell possible fakes but at a tenner a tube - I was gonna risk it. £15 is not quite the same bargain however.
Opened up the package, two tubes in there and the free mascara. I'll look good at the crag too. Got my Debenhams purchase out of the draw and there's nothing to differentiate other than the grey trim on the box is slightly lighter and the batch number. On use, a bit from each tube on a different finger... well I can't tell a difference. Same gooey, slightly greasy cream and it's identical in colour to the tube I already had.

Happy in my own head it's not a fake but if you get hit by customs, it's not quite the bargain you think it'll be.

I didn't get stung and my parcel was tied up with a lovely lilac ribbon but I wouldn't use StrwberyNet again, not least having this delivered all the way from Fiji just to save (or not) £3.  Plus I've been bombarded by emails every day since, not even teh promise of 1% loyalty discount can tempt me.

Just need to go out and trash my tips now so I can try it, was that a Call I heard?

Yes I use the red top one too. (Got mine in the states for similar price).

I tend to only use Lizzy B on splits and cuts, if I have generally super bad skin all over or its mega dry (i.e. desert, or working in soil) I tend to use palmers tummy butter. However, I try not to use it too much because its a bit too good and I feel like I am climbing in silk gloves for a couple of days.

General hand cream I just use Neutrogena.

P.S. we sound like an absolute bunch of fairies!

Mine arrived last week (strawberries) - and seems good too.. not sure its an overnight split healer - but certainly seems to help... You only need to use a tiny smearing of it too...

Single tube - no VAT/Parcelforce shizzle...

Haven't tried it on split tips, but for general hand repair this is the best stuff I have used:

http://www.amazon.co.uk/OKeeffes-Working-Hands-Hand-Cream/dp/B005PA0UV4/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1441208519&sr=8-1&keywords=o%27keeffe%27s+working+hands

Also has advantage of being the manliest hand cream.

Lagers speaks the truth.  I used to get a tube of the 8hr cream for Christmas every year and it's the best stuff I ever used for climbers hands.
