Some of the replies gave me a few good laughs. What a jaded, cynical bunch you UKBers are!  :lol:  :lol:

It's been ages since I did A level PE or looked at any gylocgen related anything, but surely it takes some time for local glycogen stores to be refilled via glucose stores in the liver? If the muscles can get filled up quicker with a nice hit of 4:1 choccy milk or whatever that drags a decent amount of protein in too then that can't be a bad thing right?

And surely after a hard sesh of especially endurance there is essentially no glycogen left in your arms. I've had sessions where I'm so fucked I barely had enough energy to lift the shopping  :-\

Also on a side note, after heavy training does anyone else feel the need to get up halfway thru the night for a snack/protein shake etc? I always find I feel a ton better come morning/lunchtime the next day than if I had slept uninterrupted
