On Saturday 4th July 2015 we will be holding our third, annual, Summer Psyche bouldering competition at Awesome Walls Stockport.This event has become a fixture on the local scene and will be even bigger and better this year. There are a hundred spaces available for competitors spread across junior male and female (U16 on the day), adult male and female and veteran male and female categories (40+ on the day). The setters will be Alex Fry and our very own Dom Bridgwood.
We’ve got a DJ, a healthy (but very tasty) food truck, master-classes, climbing clothes sale rails and lots more on the day. Keep an eye on our blog and facebook for more info as we release it.
The format: There will be an open qualification in the morning where all competitors will be able to see the problems and try them. Finals will take place in the afternoon and will be isolation based.
The Sponsors: Core, Prana, Evolv, Metolius, ABK, EB, 5.10 and the Crag Station.
The prizes: Proper BIG trophies, boulder pads, shoe vouchers, fingerboards and lots more. We’ve got spot prizes for those who make an impression (for whatever reason) and loads of goodies to give away on the day. Every competitor gets a t shirt and key ring for entering.
How to enter and more info: pre-registrations are being taken by emailing stockport@awesomewalls.co.uk and providing your name, date of birth and t-shirt size.
