Training apparel
March 18, 2015, 05:54:19 pm
Great news from Wild Country, they have brought out a clothing collection specifically for training. As we all know selecting the correct attire for training wastes a great deal of mental focus that could be used on maximising training output. Clothing for warming up and down are not yet available but I'm confident that those clever chaps at Wild Country will come up with a specific over garment so I don't have to change my entire outfit. Presumably I will need a separate costume if I should start doing some unstructured bouldering/ climbing at any time during my training session?

Don't you just hate it when you get to the wall hoping to do a campus session but you can't because you brought your woody shorts instead of your campus pants?

I'm glad they included the "Training Beanie" in the collection.  I'd hate for anyone Training in a tanktop to have their head get chilled......

At least wearing them allows you to climb shit as you're just training and not performing.

I just hope they have a series of pants in steadily increasing weights. There's nothing more annoying than pant weight variation messing up your carefully planned deadhang progression

I used to have that issue, now I just treat deadhang sessions like a French swimming pool - speedos only.

A mankini is a well thought out training garment for one-armed dead hangs as the shoulder loops provide adequate assistance... If your a punter simply don another to decrease the assistance 👍

Is the guy portrayed in the linked webpage deadhanging with a climbing shoe firmly planted on a director's type chair?
I bet he's wearing the "weakling tank top" and the "you'll never do it" shorts.

P.s. Hopefully he isn't an unknown black horse that cranks out 8c's...

I find that the optimum combination of warmth, freedom, and snazziness comes with goose-grease and an enormous bejeweled cod-piece.   The grease has the added training advantage of preventing knee-bars, scums and other cheaty tactics.  I'm currently slaving over a hot anvil, forging medieval-style leg armour to prevent the use of drop-knees.

So he'll be wearing the "weak for 9a" tank top and the " you'll do it at some point" shorts!

"demanded by our sponsees" love to know which ones did the demanding?

Also why the plural "shorts" but singular "pant" . These things are important.

;D I do have four chairs like yours in my apartment as well. But not at my board. It's cool to have one's board in adverts! Mine could be featured in an advert about how to stop climbing on rock.

One would normally say "dark horse" Nibs. You did say you would like to be corrrected, so I do so sheepishly as your English is better than mine a lot of the time.

Only a matter of time before this brand is bought by sports direct.

JFCOAB, super models will look at climbers and feel fat, this is not a good thing.

I think this is way more appropraite actual training kit:

http://ukbouldering.com/board/index.php/topic,23612.msg435799.html#msg435799

Rather than Wild country's lounge version of training kit.
