Shoulder Advice

I am looking for some good advice on my shoulder injury.

Basically I need to see a consultant to get it properly diagnosed, then I can get back on the right road to recovery. Hopefully this won't involve surgery, which is why I really want the top dog checking it out, so they get it right.

So, any recommendations of orthopedic shoulder specialists in the North? I've had the names Dr Rhodes (Lancaster), John Haynes (Manc), and Lennard Funk (Manc - and yes, I know!   :rocker:  ) mentioned, anyone know anything about any of these?

I'm hoping to see my man (or woman) privately to save time, anyone got an idea how much this will cost?

While I'm at it, anyone got any experience of a labral tear, which *may* be what I've got?

you've got to go with Doctor Funk, if only for the kudos. Anyone got the phone number for deedpoll?

Nigel,

Check out Mr Stanley, Thornbury Hospital, Sheffield. Top notch shoulder surgeon. Very expensive to see, around £10 per minute but worth it. I went to see him and he referred me to himself on the NHS thus missing out a 6 month wait for that initial consultation. I think he has done shoulder surgery for england rugby players.
