Forrest of Dean.. Loads of places left.. Softcore uplift venue. Looks cool, never been.. I'm going with my son and a mate. Looks good for DH, mini DH and modern enduro bikes.. Be good to get a UKB posse...

Can't find too many vids.. Watched a few.. This seems representative..

I believe there are more jump trails there now.

We are the UK’S No1 Mountain Bike Uplift service.
That's a big claim.

I do know the uplift is extremely fast, and there is a plenitude of tracks...

I'm working that weekend but I did go there yesterday.

The uplift is indeed very efficient - 3 buses running constantly, we never had to wait at all. Runs from 10am to 4pm with an hour for lunch.

The venue is fun but there's not a whole lot there - we explored most of the tracks but ended up sessioning GBU which was great and the imo the best one there. Nice flow.

The hill is small and though I would probably go again I reckon I'd be tempted to go a bit further to Cwmcarn or to check out the new Black Mountain place.

My judgement may be slightly clouded as I crashed very heavily early on (lost front on root at speed, headbutted floor) which left me mildly concussed for a couple of hours and with a painful shin.

Given it's only 45mins from Bristol I may pop up. It's just not that an interesting place to ride but it does always have spaces!

I'll no longer be the guy on the green Transition though...

My bike is fooked at the moment so won't make it (plus 7 week old child). It's a nice set up there, nothing very difficult but it does flow well. The jumps are probably the best bit.

Have fun  :2thumbsup:

It's not my fault... the exchange rate (in Canada) was too good... the bike so cheap...  :spank:

I bought a 2014 Santa Cruz V10. I hired one for a day whilst a mate hired a Trek Session 9.9 and the V10 felt in another league. I'm just putting it all back together for a ride this weekend!

It's not steep.. In DH terms,  and you get effectively unlimited uplifts ( I had a nap at lunch and missed a couple after..) a good  trail bike would be fine... Easily.

Very Well placed to be a an annual early Spring UKB uplift day out...

I say we we consider this venue for a UKB bikers uplift in early spring..

Mediocre vid.. Sorry
