Evolv Nexxo
June 25, 2014, 10:13:18 am
Who'd tried them yet?

I'm looking forward to getting a pair of these on my feet. They look good, could be a contender to the 5.10 team? Sure the rubber may be pants but so is the stuff on the teams.

Interested to know how stiff they are as Evolv seem to make all their shoes as stiff as boards (excl. the pontas which was an acceptable level of stiffness). The heel looks quite deep, which could be an issue.

Had a look at these in the works today and they look decent. Maybe not £120 decent, they looked similar in build to the dragon, light weight materials but the toe rubber coverage looked good.

Annoyed not to be able to try them on as I was in a rush but would have a look at these when my other shoes run out if they come down in price.

I'm wearing sharma's at moment but wouldn't mind trying a pair of these found them for £100 online but would like to try them on first for size. Unsure what there going to be like though looking at the video there very flexi.

They were only flexible at the arch. The toebox itself was fairly firm but probably softer than some of the other evolv shoes.

For anyone getting a pair online, go half a size bigger than you were in a Shaman. Most people find them very very small.

Does anyone no how much these stretch as I tried them on yesterday and I couldn't get in the 8 due to sweaty feet   :-[ but I got in the 8.5 which were perfect but wouldn't want them to stretch.
I'm a bit worried as I have never ever had any shoe over an 7.5 till sharma's

Thought I'd update this as I tried some out for a few hours at the shoe demo at the works.

Good things:

- Best toe-hooking shoes I've ever tried.
- Half-decent heel.
- Good balance of stiffness but lovers of stiff shoes will probably be disappointed.

Bad things (for me personally):

- Either quite high volume at the arch area or mine had been bagged out by people with high volume wearing them.
- Like many evolv shoes the inside edge angles in towards the centre line of the shoe quite dramatically which left me with some hot spots on my big toe joint.

Sizing wise, I was using a size 10.5 (I'm a street 9.5-10 UK and I have wide but low volume feet with long toes). If Evolv shoes fit you then probably not a bad shout but I wouldn't be keen on paying the RRP of £120. 20% off the RRP at the shoe demo wasn't a bad deal.

I'm destined to never be able to wear slippers, hoping to try the five ten hiangles next.
