Rooster 29+
April 04, 2014, 09:46:58 pm
So in a moment of slight delirium (long week at work) I have put some cash down as a kickstarter fund on this https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/1471361938/singular-rooster-29-bicycle. I know its niche and then some but, I really enjoy riding my current singlespeed which is showing its age (rim brakes for a start), and well, if I am going to try a 29er I might as well make it one close to what I like riding anyway.

Import too that it was steel frame as for the same sort of riding I think it adds to the fun. I might wake up and regret it all but I think i have made a pretty good move, and it also forces me to move some of my other bikes on too.

I think it will be a bit of a winter bike for me, low maintenance, good mud clearance and single speed to reduce likelihood of mechanicals. I tend to ride mostly in the Peak and my current single speed is a bit of a bone shaker so hoping this will have a bit of a more compliant ride due to the floaty tyres. Not full on fat bike though.
