Going for a family weekend in settle in February and would like to get out bouldering. Would love to get any suggestions for a bouldering venue which is close to settle and a short walk in.  could do with a venue with an area that stays dry as it will no dowt rain! Also any ideas for an indoor wall nearby as a back up? Any help and advice would be greatly appreciated

How hard do you climb? What sort of stuff are you after? How far is close? (Ie Would 1/2 hour be ok)?

Isn't there bouldering at Kilnsey nowadays? No idea if it's under the steep bit but that would be worth investigating I think.

I would be looking at 6c+ maybe 7a, im hoping to find somewhere very close to settle like 10 20 mins but if that only opens up poor quality bouldering I would be prepared to look at a 30mins drive. Has anyone tried panorama crag,  what's the bouldering like?

If you are going that far go to Brimham, more options and a few wet weather possibilities.

I went to Panarama Crag this weekend, there aint much there and the access is a bit weird. There is a bit of limestone bouldering about Settle but in Feb it will be very wet! Kilnsey is also gopping at the moment.

Your closest stuff is all a fair walk in, Flasby Fell, Crookrise, Rylestone.

I would go in the other direction, its like 35mins to South Lakes stuff; Trowbarrow, Kentmere.
