I sometimes find that Theaksons Old Peculiar has a banana flavour to it.

But my favourite bottled beer is the wonderful:

CAMRA hq  is just up the road from my house, and trust me, you dont want to end up like any of that lot.

Mmmmmmmmmmmm, Pale Rider, Kelham Island's finest. It's hard to believe its brewed in the same tanks that used to churn out gallons of manky piss watter for Wards brewery.

What can I say? Some of us are just born with taste :8) .
A well deserved award say I.

I'd like to think that real ale appreciation has moved on. Its no longer the preserve of bearded "knit your own muesli" types,  but is the fashionable choice for the discerning man.
Then again, I do like a quiet pub with no music these days[/img]

Much as i'd like to say all southern ale is shite, London Pride is one of my pints of choice, consistently good and very well balanced.

Fullers is a good brewery - I drink not much else apart from their gorgeous E.S.B. if I'm drinking beer at home.

Lets have a thread bout real ales innit.

I'll kick off with everyones favourite Taylor'z Landlord:

thats a bo pint. y'all.

any posts about stella or semi-imported generic lagers will be moderated....

Ah the brew in my local, but the git has put it up to £2.35 a pint!!!

Now another good local brew is Sam Smiths and down at the Dutchman (summerbridge near Brimham) it still only £1.20 a pint.

partial to O'Hanlon's Port Stout at the moment - a bit of a winter warmer and the port content adds bonus gout potential! ..... gout:  the thinking man's joint problem, you youths can keep your campus boarding injuries, I'm gonna get real old skool and fill my chalk-bag full of snuff.
