Reckon the platform on 3BM is about 2ft lower than it was on Friday. Boiling out in the sun too.

I think there was still a small amount of snow in the break so hopefully it should be the last of it and will dry out  :)
thanks for the pointers

Promise certainly was drenched this PM and the entire crag was boiling (the irony is if it wasn't for the novelty of the snow you'd not touch burbage north with a barge pole when it's this sunny normally). Looks like good climbing but you'd want a good spot on the left edge of the snow ledge. Do we know if anyone has done it post-snow?

Had a look at puck, landing ok but tons of dripping and runoff. Nefertiti was wet and has a huge semidetached cornice just waiting to kill someone.

At apparent north we built up a bit of a landing on that arête right of mating toads.

If the Nefertiti Cornice comes off that will make a mint snowball.

Too right, like trying to climb a bar of soap. Bailed to Higgar which was much more like it.

Only had a glance from the path, but there didn't look like any snow on top or in the break. It gets the full sun so should dry fairly quickly tomorrow morning but don't take my word for it.
Ai No Corrida platform is pretty thin now, potential to topple off the back. 3 Blind Mice platform seemed fine.
Then went to Stanage, Cemetary Waits platform is OK, could do with topping up at the back. Shine On platform very slopy now, there's a huge drift a few metres away but would take a bit of effort to get it into a good state again.

I imagine the foot holds you used are under the snow (and I'm not joking).

There is still plenty of snow about and it wouldn't take much work to keep some of the landings topped up despite the warm temps.

We shoveled some more onto the Cemetery Waits and Shine On landings. As Mark said, Cemetery is still fine (**) but Shine On is starting to get a bit spicy (* or worse  :().

Don't forget your shovels people who are heading out tomorrow.

Props to the people making the effort.

Is anyone keen to get out this afternoon? Thinking of stanage or burbage along with doing some digging work.
Anyone keen?

Looks like the snow is still there, jsut needs shifting. No-one got a snow blower yet? Or those huge plastic pelles?

Afraid not, we went back up yesterday but it wasn't to be.

There were a group of Italians up there one of whom did it, had a fluttery grovel at the top, came back down, tapped his forelock and stated "Eengleesh climbing is fuucking craaazy, no"

Just too scared. I just thought too much about falling rather than climbing :(
Also, I knew I shouldn't have worn green and blue together with that hat. Its just too busy

Brilliant!
Iain will be pleased his four hours platforming haven’t gone to waste (he went over on his ankle on warm up go number two, writing off climbing for the foreseeable)!
