Only mention I could find was that one was needed back in 2008, but none transpired then.

It's a good start but the first cocktail is my favourite and I wouldn't be happy if it was made to that recipe.

Soda, WTF!

Also, my pet hate is ice cubes, if there's a requirement for ice cubes the glass should be full of them. 2 or 3 piddly ice cubes melt and make your drink watery, there should be enough in there that the whole drink stays cold enough that by the time you've finished it, the ice-cubes are still all there (more or less).

Damn right. Watery G&Ts are a waste of gin.

Two fine variations on the Bloody Mary - Japanese restaurant in Leeds does one with wasabi instead of tabasco, which sounds gross, but works a treat; and the bar at the gin distillery in Plymouth does one with gin (Plymouth, obviously) in place of the vodka. Magic.

The only place i can think of crushed ice being ok is in a margarita, if the outside temp is more than 30 degrees.
