Forum outage, Saturday 1st October
October 01, 2011, 11:00:54 am
Apologies for the outage this morning - we are still suffering a few mystery bugs following the server upgrade a week ago which are impeding progress on upgrading the forum software. Plus some basic ineptitude  :-[

This tread proved a little disappointing upon actual reading
With a touch of dyslexia I though it was Forum OUTRAGE

If it makes you feel any better I just did the exact same thing without even being able to say I'm dyslexic :slap:

Plus some basic ineptitude  :-[

Well, I'm OUTRAGED that you couldn't even be bothered to make it really expert, complex; ineptitude!

Sloth, I say!

Put a bit of back bone in it next time!

Oh and spell check is not working. I cannot be held responsible for my own lack of education...

Try and bring down all the .gov sites at the same time.....

Or divert all users looking for the Apple site, to Microsoft (and vica versa).... (World war 3?).

I thought Forum Outage meant we were going to be 'outing' prominent members of the forum.

[suspicious]This is quite suspicious.[/suspicious]

Glad to know it was the forum changing resulting in the lines under the links as opposed to my computer going tits-up (also likely).

Ah yes, looks like the CSS has in the upgrade has changed slightly. Anyone severely bothered by underlined links?

Ah! I see...

The man with the stick.

Guess that rules out 90% of UKB members from reading this...

Pretty suspicious, the way we willingly disregard life and limb; for a lump of rock...

Also the reply box goes off the edge of my screen so if I type a really really really really really really long sentence I can't see the last few words of it until it goes on to the next line, which is quite a while, and I don't appear to be able to scroll across, in fact I can't see anything I just typed after the words "the last few rods".

Which is why I managed to type "rods" in stead of "words".

Probably useful if you mention what resolution your desktop is configured with.

I'd imagine the CSS has parameters for presenting the pages formatted for a default resolution, but may be smart and try to adjust these if users have something different, and it may be falling down with the resolution you're using.
