event: Spring Photoshop competition
April 12, 2011, 01:00:13 pm
Similarly to last October, we'd like to fill the home page "spotter" slot with a seasonal image. Prize options include the iconic UKB "dire" t-shirt (*) or a date with Shark's au pair (*)

Rules:
1. background image should be at least loosely limestone related
2. the UKB spotters must be included (see below)
3. please re-size as roughly 600 pixels wide 400 pixels high
4. upload them somewhere (Flickr, Imageshack, etc)
5. post them in this thread
6. off-topic submissions will not be considered in competition but may be rewarded with karma or a wry smile ...

gah, getting that to show took longer than making the picture! and I still haven't done it quite right...

Anyways, instead of doing something useful I decided to research the LToP
Apparenty,

The tower was built with limestone and lime mortar, though the exterior of the tower is covered in marble. Ironically, the limestone is probably why the tower has not cracked and broken- the rock is flexible enough that it can withstand the pressures placed on it by the lean

And I therefore claim my "loosely limestone related" quality. :2thumbsup:

Who knows, I might even think of something better!

It was the only pic on limestone I had to hand - I'm sure I have one of Andy Farnell somewhere (from when he first did Comedy, 7c).

How about loose limesone related and have a pic of worshipping the wobbly block. I would do it if a) I had a photo of the wobbly block b) I could use PS to do things liek that and c) I could be arsed.

Dunno about that, I've known some pretty lean people pull blocks off limestone crags...

I'm off to fight with Phototshop. Back soon.

Embeddy back linking what now?

Learning how to embed pictures properly  ;)

(You copy and pasted the URL of the page where the picture was displayed, rather than right clicking the image itself and selecting "Copy Image Location" and pasting that between the [ img ] tags)

Not sure it fits the bill but needed a reason to use Butters' picture of Sloper and who better than to pit him against than UKB's very own overlord...... Let the ruckus begin!!!

I was more concerned by the fact it looks like he's got a semi on, thankfully covered by the spotters hands

Lookalike, grey, bespectacled, socks and brogues with shorts, can't climb harder than 5+ grit, what's a bit of BMI difference amongst bros?

The next logical step....

Throwing Ondrawad could be the next step but I'm off to France soon...I don't want you to think I have that much time on my hands.

Similarly to last October, we'd like to fill the home page "spotter" slot with a seasonal image. Prize options include the iconic UKB "dire" t-shirt (*) or a date with Shark's au pair (*)

Any chance of a pic of said au pair?  :)

Just out of interest Simon- is this an au Pair you appointed or one Sonia chose?
