Hot Chicks, playing Zep. What's not to like.

Awesome. That said, if it even approached tina doing WLL It'd be truly one for the ages.

Just cause I'm high on her right now...

Oh Man. I'm not sure TT could help being great at this point, but it's the backing that makes it, both pre and post the 3 minute break point...

I know it isn't strictly a cover and more of a sample of Steve Winwood's song but I'm guessing you won't object...

Easy Star? Not as good as Dub Side, but their Radiodread is pretty good too. Not heard the Lonely Hearts Dub Band yet.

I think one of the most popular covers has got to be The Pogues version of Fairytale of New York. When you listen to the Christy Moore version you can see why it's not so popular!

Then there's Summer in the City by The Stranglers.

Don't forget, somewhat controversially I would imagine, All Along the Watchtower by Hendrix which I prefer to the original.

I think the Pogues' version is the original. And Christy Moore covers it on his live album. Incidentally I like both versions.

Apparently Dylan has said that he "liked Jimi Hendrix's record of this (all along the watchtower) and ever since he died I've been doing it that way... Strange how when I sing it, I always feel it's a tribute to him in some kind of way". Praise indeed.

I'm a big fan of the Futureheads' version of Hounds of Love. The Kate Bush original version is good, but not as good.

Hell, if we're on covers which aren't covers but are in fact samples, as per Soap's slightly questionable post... Anyhoo, Cocteau Twins sampling abound.

Are you disqualified for covering your own songs?

(I'm almost sure I've posted that one before. But after a mellow evening on the Aberlour I care not, but apologize if it happens to be true)
