Short Films with Still Images
« on: July 29, 2010, 10:20:36 am »
Looking for examples of arty movies of a certain type - I mean the sort where still images (especially illustrations) are used instead of video/animation to display a narrated story.

Here's a very average example of what I mean, though I'm sure there is much more potential in the format.

Anybody seen anything good? I'm sure there must be something on vimeo, but I can't think of any right now.

Should you meet me at the crag - I'm pretty crap at face to face social interaction - what might seem like me being aloof is actually me trying to control moderate social anxiety - alcohol helps, but I don't take it to the crag

a search for "photo montage" on vimeo might produce something?

Not really after photo montages though. I'm looking for illustrated stories. But not animated, except for after effects.

I'm especially keen to find shorts using great combinations of illustrations and after effects.

Ah, I see.

Right then, just put La Jetee through a posterize filter and... voila!
