Slipstones Conditions

Slipstones was in superb condition this afternoon. c.10 degrees low cloud, teeny bit of wind. Great friction, dry underfoot and no seepage.
Tip top. (unlike my climbing!)

thinking of heading there this Sat as weather looks good. does anyone know what the current conditions are like underfoot, snowy?
i will have to drive for a couple of hours to get there so if anyone has any info i would greatly appreciate it and it may well save a long
environmental unsound drive

I was there yesterday and it was primo, no snow. I think they had a dusting there today though, this webcam is reasonably close enough for good knowledge: http://www.swaledaleyorkshire.com/page3.htm. If you're desperate you could maybe give one of the pubs/b&bs a ring in Fearby for a heads up.

Birk Gill is really close and a bit more sheltered, but no idea what condition it will be in.
