I got led back to mid-era Miles thanks to Julien Copes's 'Copendium'. Love this. And the missus is out so I can spin some jazz.

I've been enjoying Hidden Orchestra lately. I'm not sure whether everyone would classify them as Jazz, but Wikipedia calls them "an electronic jazz collective", and who am I to argue with the collective wisdom, so I thought I'd stick this in here. I love their album Night Walks, and have been enjoying this really long mix thing from Joe Acheson who is the key member of the band. It's great for sticking on at work. Includes interview snippets with Dave Brubeck to secure it's place in the Jazz thread...

My dad had a huge collection of classic Jazz stuff, this is a great thread to spark off some memories for me!

I went to my first gig in ages last night, what a gem for my comeback.

Absolutely brilliant jazz/funk from Portishead's legendary drummer and bassist. Can't recommend this enough, and I got to see them in a tiny venue with perfect acoustics.

U.K dates up and coming.

This is probably the best place to put this. Some chilled Jazzy stuff mixed by DJ Chicken George. His early uploads are great too! Smooth and very easy to listen to  enjoy
