Is ascentionist a word?Rich
I don't like Riot Act. Firstly there's already a famous problem called Riot Act in the Frankenjura. Secondly it's a cliche (but not in an ironic way) and sounds like a name for a 3rd rate action movie (but not in a good way).
Pulsedog, beanwolf, chickpea hyena...
it pays to keep her happy.

I think May suggested 'Ladders and Bridges'
Hope you're keeping a note book of potential names for all the projects you're likely to crush (although this thread in and of itself is such a record!).
Dull though, painfully dull.
I quite like The Fate of the Nortons. A bit of intrigue there. As there is with Peahound. Where is Peahound? The only google result is now this thread.
The Fate of the Nortons is a quality name. I like Peahound
You could go with Wordsworth's poem of The White Doe of Rylstone (already a route), but use the subtitle of The Fate of the Nortons.Or local history/fiction such as Kildwick Murder, Monument of Mystery....
Might I say that a committee (as in the Let's Name Ben's Route Committee) is no way to make a decision on a route name. Better your own crap one than a committee decision.
One thing I would say is at least Peahound has only 2 syllables which makes it at least 4 syllables better than most other suggestions.
