The end of my trip came sooner than expected.
Van totalled after turning over when two cars hit each other and ploughed into me in the south of France. No van, no home now and no Font. Shit end to what was a difficult but amazing seven months.
Gutted.

Bloody hell! Glad you're alright, at least!

Just been diagnosed with carpel tunnel syndrome in my right hand, along with early signs of duprytens.  :wall:

Not yet. Nothing to exacerbate it for 6 weeks then review. Hopefully the tendonitis in the left elbow will be clear by that time. At least it'll give everything else time to settle down...

Who diagnosed you Andy? A GP or a specialist? I was diagnosed with CTS in both wrists not so long ago as the result of a Nerve Conduction Study. They were well over keen on surgery which I declined. I'm convinced my nerve compression was due to Neck/Shoulder problems which they are going to explore with Physio. It hasn't effected my climbing yet, and to be honest the only annoying thing it causes is numb hands/fingers at night.

I also have pretty bad Golfers in my right arm. Not sure if it's in anyway linked.

Yep, in the most un-scientific assertion possible, I'd have to agree it's all linked. I blew my right Rotator Cuff and I'm pretty sure favouring that led to my on-going tendinitis in my Brachioradialis. I'm bloody certain that the exercises prescribed for that, irritate the damn shoulder and it's descending into a Möbius strip of absurdity.
AKA my right arm is more fucked up than a Tory Budget...

It was my GP, but he was very thorough. I've checked online and all the symptoms fit. The CTS isn't affecting my climbing as much as the tendonitis. 28 years of trying your hardest is a bit wearing on the body. That and fingerboarding with a 20kg weight vest...

along with early signs of duprytens.

I've had "early signs" for about 10 years now, and still kept on climbing. What early signs are they?

That's a bit rubbish but seems to be the way everywhere is going.

Fell on my skis yesterday. Went down on an icy patch and went quite a way. Not sure I'll be full crimping or pinching for a while

Judging by the amount of snow here, I reckon there's a good month of touring and gully skiing still to be had if it still stays coldish. Planning an after work hit of Black Spout on Lochnagar soon.

Thumb less swollen and got some movement in it now. Went to Minor Injuries and they reckoned it's just sprained. However now I can bend it a bit it has a worrying lean to the left. Might get it X-rayed.

andyd, bummer what's prognosis?
