Hardest problem in the world (going off time took for the two of them)?

Emma Twyford (and Caff) have repeated Impact Day at Pavey, doesn't sound like this was a multi day siege but a quick RP after a couple of TRs, very, very impressive
(and Charlie Woodburn)

And speaking of people who have done some or all of the Alpine Trilogy, I'm surprised how little interest there seems to be in Robbie Phillips' ascent of Silbergeier.

I don't claim to be an expert on the subject, but of the top of my head isn't this the first Brit ascent of any of them?

Second of this one. Wiz Fineron last year, going by the ukc article.

Bit 20th century innit? Personally I think claiming ascents on nationality comes across as a bit odd in this day and age.

Looks like a fantastic route, though the Ratikon is stretching the definition of 'Alpine'.

I see what you mean, and as an expat with no regrets I'm certainly not into Imperial flag-waving. I was thinking more of it being parochially significant from a local perspective: local boy does well on a climbing style that completely doesn't exist in the UK: longish, somewhat bolted but most definitely not sport climbing.

There is a new foot sequence now which may make it a little easier, still recon it's got to be hard 8B! Maybe a slash grade 8b/8b+ (same as usual would be 8B+ anywhere else in the world)

Top effort, working a full day getting to the crag at 7:30 and getting home at 14:00 is tough!

So it's 8B+!

Great effort. Is this the fourth ascent after yours and someone called Dave? I assume Bewilderness is getting some action…

I should read the rock climbing news more often. Has End of the Affair had a second ascent yet?

According to his 8a.nu scorecard, Ellis Bulter-Barker seems to be doing well in Magic Wood:

In the last week, he has done:

1 8B
5 8A+ (One second go)
5 8A (three flashes)
1 7C+
10 7c (two Flashes)

one day he did an 8B, 3 8A+'s and 2 8A's {one flashed}

Impressive, wonder how long he is out there for and what else he gets done!
