As reported in many places, Megos did a Dai Koyamada's Orochi (V15) in 2 hours, a few days ago.
Here's a video of the 2nd accent by someone else

I guess Orochi has something to do with "Yamata no Orochi", who was an 8-headed dragon, slain by Susanoo, the storm god.

Anyway, that is Yamauchi Makoto climbing in the video (the owner of the account)

Was the FA done with heel hooks? (sorry) It looks hard but it doesn't look like a great line

Megoswad is in Aus now.

1st day was at Crumbly here in Sydney with a V13 (Genesis), V12 flash (Abacus), V11 flash (Mushi Brain).
2nd day was at Elphinstone in the Bluies with an impressive flash of Tiger Cat at 33 (8c).

He doesn't seem to fall much.

I used to climb with a lad a bit like that... he never seemed particularly strong, just didn't fall off.

Good knack to have IMO.

That was Big Ron's logic for not using a bouldering mat, 'i don't fall off much', which considering he was at Stanage at the time was very true.

Not falling off is the key to getting up stuff. That and not letting go.

Ellis Butler Barker has done the first repeat of Brian at Anstey's Cove, nearly 12 years after Ken Palmer's first ascent, upgrading it to 8c+  :strongbench: :icon_beerchug:

Ace, strong youth. Hope he can ride the psyche through summer and try Endeavour at Blackers Hole. He'll have ticked all the south's hardest sport routes then wouldn't he?

Not falling off is the key to getting up stuff. That and not letting go.

I always thought letting go either made it easier or earned massive style points, as long as you don't fall off.
