Nic's grading skills haven't improved with age then. 7c?!?

Feel free to perpetuate the myth Stu but back it up with SCIENCE. I actually think he's bang on most of the time, but the truth hurts!

Not a repeat but potentially significant...

Contender for the hardest in Rocklands? So at least 8C in other words - and what looks to be a beautiful line as well. It should probably have a thread of its own.

Charles Albert has repeated Monkey Wedding 8C a few days ago. Saw him trying it with no pads, crazy seeing him crimp with his toes...

FWIW I think Nic isn't far off with his thoughts on Point Blank. E7 is about right, though maybe 7c/+.

Still an incredible effort!

Having been on it on a shunt I thought the same. Tim Emmett had described it as being like doing 2 7cs, but I thought more 7b+ for the lower part and 7b for the upper. With the benefit of a good look though and chalking some holds.

It's a great effort to onsight, not easy to read at all, especially with that cam a long way below your feet!

Madness. Just madness. I wouldn't argue with E7 but can only assume that those who think it's 7c are 9ft tall. It's probably easy 7c to where you leave from a distance!

I'd agree on Point Blank.  If it was in Ceuse, 7c at the most.  Give it a /7c+ for the trad factor, not that you have to stop and place gear much.  I didn't exactly flash it, but hung off an ab rope to see where it went and put some chalk on useful looking things.  Admittedly it was straight after doing From A Distance, so knew that section well.  FAD felt E6 (similar to the box zawn ones), which makes PB fair at E7.

All that rubbish aside, it has to be a contender for best trad route in the country.

Seans roof, sit start prow. Personally I think it's overgraded at 7C. Shark won't have done it, not a traverse.

+1. From convo, I'm putting money on it being in Pembroke.

Looks like this needs to be split, in order to find out exactly who has or hasn't done Point Blank and in what style. And more importantly what grade it actually is. Oh and how tall you are too.

Didn't you guys hear Bransby? It's at Blackwell dale, in which case I've done it. Didn't place any gear and it had some damps holds.

I know where it is and I've climbed 7c so I've done it more than Dave has.
