good call on that calibre remix - nice to hear things you've forgotten about. Here's one I had forgotten about till I heard it on the radio last night. re-load!

Amazing! Given the number of 30-somethings on here reminiscing about old nights/tracks, here's a new one with a big nod to D n B/jungle circa 94-96

obviously needs quality speakers.......

New ED RUSH and OPTICAL album coming soon!! (Although no doubt not nearly as soon as promised).

Not as big a fan as Ed Rush and Optical as many people are. I thought their early seperate output was pretty great, The Raven, To Shape The Future, anything on No U-Turn etc, but then found Wormhole quite disappointing - only "Slip Thru" really got my groove on. And recent output was okay but a bit too ploddy and discoey for me. But this forthcoming album promises to be a Wormhole for this decade, with a similar gritty feel and updated production and energy. Which, so far, sounds pretty good. It's certainly got more spark from what I've heard.

A few samples here: http://dnbforum.com/showthread.php?t=58505&page=4

There's a brilliant serial killers remix of Congo Natty's old Jungle classic Code Red doing the rounds and it's ace.  You can hear it about 20 mins in on the D&B Arena Podcast featuring Original Sin on 5th May...

I've heard some tunes from the new Rufige Kru album and they're all ace.   I've not listened to any new DnB for years but there's some good stuff that's really turned my head recently.

Goldie has been playing some on the Metalheadz podcast (which is worth listening to anyway) and there's a couple of tracks to listen to on Metalheadz.com and on Breakbeat.co.uk

Just been rolling back from the crag, with my ipod on random, when this popped up:
Calyx & Teebee - Cyclone

Had to rewind it about 5 times. How i managed to keep the car on the road is beyond me. Never properly listened to the calyx album - i guess i've been missing out.

it is indeed a very very big tune.

For all the Calibre-headz- There's a new album out containing such classics as All The Days and Harbinger, it's absolutely amazing. It's called shelflife volume 2. And the new Lynx and Kemo album is out, it's called The Raw Truth and is also well worth seeking out. It's dangerousousousousous

some snippets of the latest Chase and Status album pasted together. A lot of melodic stuff and even some non-DnB tracks. Especially "Cant get enough", "against all odds" (not DnB) and "take me away" are nice. Might go and see them if they come to belgium in a couple of weeks.

Those that like their jump-up need to get hold of this. Full on rudeness but not as crass or homogenous as modern jump-up usually is.
