:agree: TTC has always been good!  Not just DnB though, 'ip-'op is popular too, as are breaks, but its always good (at least every-time I went I had a good time )

The only downside is, well its on a Tuesday.

This is made up for by their (vaguely) monthly Saturday events with the Valve Sound System .  Next is 7th March, take some ear plugs its very loud (although not as loud as Leftfield).

Venue: The Manchester Apollo
Time: 8pm-4am
Price: £17.50

On Friday 27th March we are pleased to anounce that we are returning to the Apollo with an absolute King Kong line-up including the legendary VALVE SOUNDSYSTEM in association with our friends at Metropolis.
We have managed to secure a 4am finish for this event but please note headliners are on from 8pm!!!

The line-up is still under construction but artists confirmed so far as as follows:

CHASE & STATUS
Probably the hottest property in D'n'B right now. These two guys are guaranteed to rock the Apollo like never before and with the VALVE behind them.... oh my gosh!

LEMON D AND DILLINJA
The guys behind the world record breaking VALVE SOUNDSYSTEM will gladly demonstrate what their baby can do... just hold onto something!!!!

THE SCRATCH PERVERTS
The Scratch P's have always been a favorite with the APE crowd. With their 12 deck madness unleashed on the VALVE they're guaranteed to get your body rockin'!

DIE AND FIERCE
Die and Fierce have been major playaz in the game since its conception and are most commonly associated with the legendary V recordings label.

BIRDY NAM NAM
If you don't know get to know. These French whizzkids have to be seen to be believed. DMC champions they make live music through scratching... When their link landed on my desktop, my jaw hit the floor!!

YOUNGSTA
If you know your dubstep you'll know all about this Dubstep Allstar!! One of the best DJ's on the scene Youngsta is most commonly associated with Rinse FM and TEMPA and is renowned for his mind and speaker blowing sets.

LOEFAH
Another one of the budding bright lights from the world of Dubstep. DMZ' Loefah will twist the VALVE to the max of its ability.

Add to this our residents, Rich Reason, Ken Evil, Tonn Piper and Mad Rush and you are guaranteed a night of ear-bleeding, body shaking bass!!!

More artists to be confirmed in the next few days....

Drum and bass is weird. A relatively simple form - and sometimes formulaic form - of dance music. I've listened to thousands upon thousands of tracks and keep waiting to get bored by it. But no, just when there's any hint it might sound at all unexciting, I hear things like this:

http://rapidshare.com/files/203515292/Essential_Mix_-_2009-02-28_-_Blame.mp3

A pretty good radio-friendly mix but skip to 69:00 for the general track vibe and then wait for the drop at 71:38 - 71:40, IMO simply f-ing amazing. I rewound it about 10 times in total.

This all came courtesy of the dobbinator, BTW. http://dobbinwondermule.blogspot.com/2009/03/fix-blame.html

Raiden's last track last night:

Epic. God knows how many years old, but still sounds fresh. Do yourself a favor and listen to the mp3 on some proper speakers though.

Break - Symmetry preview thing:

Been listening to this a lot this week.

And finally, going out to Andi:
D-bridge - Creatures of habit

Aaaaaaaaahhh yes, just re-discovered this fucking awesome old skool esoteric gem of utter DARKNESS....

John Peel played this track and it totally blew my mind, what a legend Peely was... Turn this one waaaaaay up, if it's not causing structural damage YOU'RE DOING IT WRONG:

pretty cool actually, the main bassline is monstrous as you say, not so keen on the chopping and changing but I guess he's got to through some mellow bits in for the pendulumn fankids who can't handle a whole track of BEEF.

No idea about the release, possibly a long way off?

Thanks guys. Fiend - the version I heard on Goldies podcast is a bit more minimal than the one on YouTube and the Hype Comp.  I'll have to wait for the release I suppose.. I've a got a real bug for DnB and Jungle at the moment.

Link fixage from earlier posts:

Klute - Hell Hath No Fury

Photek - Love And War

Dom And Roland - Imagination is totally removed, instead please replace with:
The Advocate - Deviant Too

Bad Company - Bullet Time is totally removed, instead please replace with:
The Upbeats - Oiled Up

Dom And Roland - Killa Bullet is totally removed, instead please replace with:
Ed Rush & Optical - Slip Thru

Calyx - Follow The Leader:

Break - Is This What You Want:

D-Bridge - True Romance:

Break & Hydro - Immaculate is totally removed, instead please replace with:
Big Bud - Kiki

Phew, a lot of broken links to fix there. The replacements are at least as good as the originals, Oiled Up is one of the dirtiest DnB tracks around, it's awesome. Big Bud's Kiki is totally new to me, and a lovely track.
