ffs - Neither AL nor Traktor will support multiple soundcards. How shit is that?

I have two perfectly good soundcards. I'd like to use the quality one for output and the not so great one for monitoring but none of this software (AL/traktor/torq) will support them which pretty much kills real-time mixing dead.

Apparently this can be worked around using asio4all but i've not had a lot of joy doing this, i.e. it didn't seem to work at all and by all accounts it's a buggy workaround anyway. I think this is a windoze sound problem - Linux/MacOS can both aggregate soundcards...

So what soundcards are people using or can they recommend? Don't need surround-sound, etc, just at least 2 stereo outputs, 1 input and midi in.
